| Doug
Brooks is a life-long barbershopper with over 25 years
experience in quartet singing. He sang with Four District
Champion Quartets (Cadence - 2003, Four Star Revue - 1988,
Four From Home - 1993, Renaissance - 1995). Doug’s
current quartet includes his three brothers and is appropriately
named "Brooks Brothers" (what else?). He competed
four times at International finishing as high as 18th.
In
addition to his quartet work and his job as Director of
the Sounds of Harmony, Doug sings lead with the World
Champion Ambassadors of Harmony from St. Charles, Missouri.
Doug
lives in St. Louis with wife Pat and his two stepsons,
Thomas and Cameron, and works as an Information Technology
project manager for the Illinois Department of Transportation
in Collinsville, Illinois.
Doug
served as Director of the Land of Lincoln Chorus in Springfield,
Illinois from 1986 to 1995 before taking a break from
directing. We are delighted to have him as the Director
of the Sounds of Harmony and thank his wife, Pat, for
convincing him to rejoin the directors' ranks.
